Nominations Open: ASSCR Committee Election 2026

ASSCR is calling for nominations for the 2026 Committee Election. This is your chance to help shape the direction of the Society and contribute to the future of stem cell research in Australasia.

Four positions are open for nomination:

  • Vice President
  • Chair of the Career Development and Junior Investigators Subcommittee
  • Chair of the Policy, Ethics and Translation Subcommittee
  • Chair of the Sponsorship, Fundraising and Industry Subcommittee

Each role offers a meaningful way to give back to the ASSCR community while building leadership experience and expanding your professional network. Whether you are an established researcher ready to help guide the Society’s strategy as Vice President or an emerging leader keen to champion career development, policy or industry engagement through a subcommittee, there is a role suited to your strengths.

Any current ASSCR member can nominate a candidate, and self-nominations are welcome provided the nomination is seconded by another member. Nominators and seconders must also be ASSCR members.

To be eligible for a committee position, a nominee must be 18 years or older and entitled to vote at a general meeting. Candidates for Vice President must also have previously served on the ASSCR committee, chaired an ASSCR subcommittee or held an executive role on another committee.
